[s300] Transfer java midlets from one phone (firmware) to another
Hi all
To transfer all your downloaded java midlets from one S300 phone to another
or from one firmware to another do the following.
1) backup the following range of data from the first s300 firmware
that has the midlets of interest using optiflash.
0x00ea0000-0x00faffff (1MB)
2) Then flash the second phone using the s3 file you created in step 1.
Thats it !
I have verified this by tranfering the midlets from the latest S30xxxE1 firmware
to my s300 which is running s30xxxD1.
I now have Snowballfight, Movemove and puzzlebobble with D1 !
Since I have no access to GPRS, this is the only way
I can get Midlets into my s300 .
Now if there is anyone out there with great games in their s300
and would like to share them with the less fortunate like myself, please do .
Thats until, Samsung decides to let us upload midlets using a datacable
or until someone figures out how the data in that range is encoded.
